Every year it ends and every year the ending is bittersweet. While we experience the rush and excitement of preparing to celebrate 'Eid we also feel the flow of emotions in witnessing our dear friend, Ramadan, walking away. Each of us aware that this could be our last time bathing in its blessings. At the same time, hopeful that we will still be here to welcome our dear friend upon the next visit. As we juggle all of the tasks during these last few hours may we pause and offer this highly beneficial comprehensive prayer:
"Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire."
Qur'an 2:201
Arabic
رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةًۭ وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةًۭ وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
Transliteration
Rabbanaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanatan wa fil-aakhirati hasanatan wa qinaa 'adhaaban-naar

May the positive changes we've made remain with us. For the sake of Allah, may we not return to the bad which we've walked away from. May we live in the answers to our prayers from this Ramadan to the next, and beyond.
